These days in the education sector,degrees/masters/PhDs can be bought and not earned,the same goes for martial arts with black belts/Dan grades.The list goes on.When degrees/masters/PhDs are bought,the knowledge/experience/expertise dont come with it,thus there is no contribution and the same goes for purchased black belts/Dan grades.When I got my hard earned Masters(MSc) in Clinical Exercise Physiology and my 1st class degree in Exercise and Sports Science,I thought I knew everything about my area/line and was already thinking of my PhD(doctorate).I was very wrong,the truth is I knew only about 10% which was mostly just theory,after many years of experience,today I can safely say that I am really qualified.In contrast,when I got my black belt in karate,I didnt feel like I knew everything and until today I am striving to reach that next level,the beauty about karate is that there is no limit,it keeps expanding and mastering the physical part is only the beginning. Today,I am very glad/fortunate to have my own business and we provide our best with good standards.Hence,when you come to me to learn Kanazawas karate or for treatment,you should come for the right reasons.In karate,if all you want is a short cut to obtaining a black belt,you will eventually leave and go somewhere else that gives you one easily,when I hold you/your child back for gradings its because I want the best,if the best standards cant be reached,you will eventually leave and most importantly when we keep training together,that ensures that we never stop learning from each other-this will never be compromised,its harmony and balance.Thank you to everyone who have supported and stayed with us.Oss!
