These guys do an amazing job. I just wish people could see what all goes on behind the scenes. These events are a lot of work to put on. Anyone can throw an event on the calendar, invite celebrities and let the rest just fall into place (hopefully). And, unfortunately, we have seen and attended these events and the rest NEVER falls into place. The Walker Stalker Convention is one of the few that really pays attention to every detail to make sure that they can provide an amazing experience for as many fans as possible. To be clear, at their event, you dont just attend a convention, you have an experience. Andrew Lincoln, who never does autographs or photo ops at any other convention, was kind enough to offer the little bit of time that he has away from his family and filming to be a part of this event. He does it to give back to the fans while also giving to charity. But, there is only so much he can do in a day. In order to allow for as many fans to meet him as possible, they had to divide that day between autographs, photos and Q&As on stage; in addition to which, they divided those opportunities to a limit of one per person. Last year, there were dealers at the front of the line who had 50-150 items to be signed by him. Arguments, and more, erupted between VIP and General Admission about who should be next. The lines were enormous because there were no limits. This year, it should be peaceful and more people will make it through the lines in the time that he has allowed for the event. I applaud the Walkers for recognizing a potential flaw and working to find a solution that can maximize the enjoyment for as many people as possible. Great job, Walkers! We are looking forward to this experience!
