These hoodless open engine trucks are scattered around in China, mostly along the countrysides, but also on the outskirts of cities. Due to their dark exhaust, these handy work vehicles are not allowed inside city limits. Some other versions of these utility vehicles do not use these engines, but instead use a motorized plow with its 2 long handles reaching back to the driver, and the driver steers with the truck with the 2 long handles (imagine the old rural farmers that use a bull to plow? Well, replace the bull with an engine, and then put that plow-with-handles in the front of a this truck body).
