These old eyes have seen the television become the latest fad. The McCarthyism witch hunt, Eisenhower elected, Kennedy elected, Johnson sworn in and many other events of politics. The landing on the moon, the death of president Kennedy, the shooting of Dr King, and Robert Kennedy. Korea, Vietnam, Desert storm and other conflicts the USA has been involved in.. I watched the development of computers, Cell phones, Satellite employment, DVDs, Blue Ray, so on. I saw the Jim Crow laws die, and the Civil Right arise, and the many sacrifices made to achieve the direction and beginnings of equality. I protested, and stood against that war in South East Asia, inequality in race, and environmental issues dealt with. I saw the Cayahoga River in Ohio catch fire, and force new laws brought forth to hold the pollution in check. I saw Jackie Kennedy cry in the confines of the White House and Dr Kings wife Coretta left inconsolable. Yet, never have I seen so many uninformed, and radical ignorant in my life. Only since FOX and the lack of acumen brought on by less education and more superstition, has there been an ongoing official move towards fascism. I have seen the racism diminished, and the first Black president elected, and then a resurgent movement towards racial hate again, using race hate and fear based stimuli they captured the fearful Americans.... I have seen the New England liberal educated elite, lose their influence, and replaced by Red States elite bigots and haters of the populous mode of these United States. I have watched the KKK, John Birch, Koch bros, and other right wing fascist hate groups become mainstream, after years of being properly marginalized. I have watched the Tea Party develop a new movement, not towards more justice, democracy and equality, but a Party that promotes corporate takeover and oligarchic moves of disenfranchisement of all Americans, esp minorities. What happened to the USA with ideals of equality sane police and rights for all? Gone with the Koch Bros, FOX and their Ilks dirty pollution wind and water, as their propaganda and lies smothers us in cash, originating from Kochs association with Hitler and Stalin, now used to choke our democracy to death, with help from the Tea People.... I miss a progressive and thinking America...Save us from the hate
