These otherwise strange and random occurences -- but otherwise severe, as can be seen -- can only be explained when it is understood that Pakistan is in the throes of a broad systemic failure. Something very out of the way happened in Pindi on Ashura...and the media is still tight-lipped about it. I have heard that 33 Sunni madrassa students (Taliban) had their throats cut...otherwise the media portrays 10 dead in a clash between two unspecified groups...but if Pakistans third major city can have a round the clock curfew clamped on it -- an occurrence that has taken place after decades -- then something terrible musty have transpired.
