These photos, taken in low light, are the recent White Bull Pathways 2014 summit conference in Barcelona, Spain, where I had the honor to be a keynote speaker. whitebull/events/pathways-2014 White Bull joins Europe’s top young, technology and media leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, venture capital investors and visionaries from all over Europe to “Make the Impossible Journey.” White Bull had invited me to speak with the goal of helping increase social consciousness with future European business leaders, and discuss solutions to empower women and societies beyond the non-profit and dependency creating development aid sectors. Thank you to White Bull, “Champions of European Innovation,” for this experience, and inspiring European young entrepreneurs to develop more social consciousness and use their talents to effect change to empower women and girls. Beyond schools, books and desks, for the last few years, CAI has quietly been pioneering innovative small, successful and sustainable programs to empower (mostly) girls and women, that can later be replicated, modeled, and scaled up locally. While our primary former focus was to establish schools and promote literacy and education, especially for girls in remote regions of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, we are excited that our new Executive Director, Jim Thaden, is using his corporate background and CAIs extensive experience to develop a new R&D development initiative to create hope and prosperity for those we serve.
