These two bonded pair rat terriers are available for adoption. (Black and white little pups.) Both are approximately 6 years old, spayed/neutered (7 days ago), UTD on shots and microchipped. Lilly is still recovering as her spay included the loss of puppies and thus lower energy right now. Buddy is the happy playful pup playing in the video. Lilly is resting. These two have been through a lot. Their owner/best friend passed and they found themselves homeless only to be shipped into a temp home briefly that was not loving then separated. Buddy shut down because he was then in a scary place without his owner or sister. Luckily we were able to get them reunited and as you can see Buddy blossomed again. While these two will experience a difficult transition they are very loyal loving companions that love to be with their human. Buddy does have fear of men but has shown his ability to open up with men while in foster care. With a little patience to let them feel safe they will make wonderful lap fur babies! When they arrived in foster care they slept a lot, were scared and simply had no idea what was happening. But as you can see they opened up! The ideal home would be a quiet home with no children, mature couple. A man in the home is perfectly fine as long as the man of the house understands Buddy will need a little extra time. They are not snippy just shell shocked to be in a new environment initially. They get along with other pets (both cats and dogs) ... They prefer lower key companions, playful kind companions. Buddy does resource guard his human some from the other pets but has quickly learned (with positive re-enforcement) to not do so!
