These two pictures are L to R: Frances Janice Brown Holcomb, Grandma Browns daughter; my sister, Linda Marie Brown Axtell; and Frances husband, Ray Darrow Holcomb. Aunt Fran and Uncle Ray lived in Coburg, Oregon just north of Eugene. Uncle Ray was an avid hunter and fisherman. Aunt Frances returned to college in her early 40s and majored in education. She became a teacher and taught for many years. They later moved to the South Eugene hills near Lane Community College. Aunt Fran canned, froze and cooked everything Uncle Ray brought home. In later years when they retired, they had a home built in Baja California where they spent their last years.
