These two pictures are pictures that I had taken over 25 years ago of a wonderful lady who lost her battle with cancer today. I can remember every time I would sneak up on her and take a picture of her in action, she would look at me with her head cocked, smile, and wave her finger at me and say John, Im going to get you for that. A very special lady in the lives of many of us Killeen kids as she dedicated her life to educating children and would go out of her way for any child that she could help. I was not only honored to be a student of hers, both as a journalism student and photographer for the newspaper, but also a lifetime close friend to her greatest love in her life, her son, Chris Warner. I know she was very proud of the son that she raised as well as her daughter-in-law, Misty Warner. As what happens way too often, we all tend to do at times, we lose track of time and forget to spend time with those that have meant so much in our lives. Please take time to enjoy those people while they are here...as you know, it is pretty hard to do once they are gone. Love You Mrs. Connie Fay Warner. You were and inspiration to many and even more than that, at times, you were a mother to me and I am grateful to have had you and the whole family in my life.
