Thetford Bulldog Belles 2 Waveney Girls 1 Jordy Hunter 1 Aimee Frost 1 POM: Gabby Wenham Managers Player: Lauren Stannard The Belles put on on a fine display from the start and were playing great attacking football. Despite goalie, Gabbys best efforts, a penalty awarded to the visitors was converted to open the scoring. Nonetheless, the saves that MOM Gabby made were outstanding. Defensively, Lauren was on fire and not only stopped Waveney breaking through, but also fired some precision balls up the field to the awaiting Belles. Eva was positioning herself well and Shannons footwork was on display, turning time and again. Emmie was ensuring the Belles made the best of their corners and Olivia was certainly using her head!! Captain Smelly B, was relentless up the wing and Jordy was battling throughout with great results. Jeski put some great tackles in and Hannah was clinical with her passing. Mia used her strength and skill to make some great runs and Ella was shutting down Waveneys forwards and clearing any balls that came her way. The second half saw the Belles really come into their own when Eva hit the bar and a perfectly positioned Jordy smacked it into the back of the net for the Belles first goal. Soon after, Frosty went on a classic run and slotted the ball into the bottom left for a premiership finish. Final score 2-1 Belles. Great display girls. Hold your heads high for your performance and attitude throughout, you played with respect.
