They are still ranting, I mean the fence sitters. The two parties - TopicsExpress

They are still ranting, I mean the fence sitters. The two parties are the same; there is no difference between the two candidates; Buhari is not elaborate like Atiku was in his policy proposals before the primaries; What ever Buhari said so far is in Jonathans transformation agenda; we are between the hard rock and the hard place; the Buhari supporters are a fanatical bunch intent of bullying and averse to on the one hand and on the other hand mode of discourse, blah, blah, blah and all the baloney. Karl Marx once talked of petty bourgeois opportunism, in reference to the French socialists who wanted socialism without abolishing the unjust capitalist order. This is exactly what is playing out. And to think that all this dogon turanci (long grammar) at a time Nigeria is in distress, its unity is being called to question, its precious daughters yet to be found in a forest within Nigerian territory for close to 300 days now and nobody cared, its commonwealth looted, its international prestige at its lowest ebb, its currency on a free fall, corruption and official theft elevated to an art. So you want Buhari to spell out the details of his policy proposals outlining the objectives, aims, policy elements, outputs, inputs, outcome, risks and risk mitigation, perhaps including financing? All in a five to ten minutes rally peep talk that is meant to present the candidate and mobilize support? If a presidential candidate must roll out the matrix of his strategy in a rally then where is leadership? Now I wonder, talking about insecurity and insurgency, Buhari had done it before, as an army general and head of state, crushing the Maitatsine violent sect and repelling the Chadian rebels from violating Nigerias territorial integrity. Give me security, secure my country, restore confidence, bring back what has so far been lost, what this government is unable to do, I am fine. On taming corruption, he has done it before. He led by example and sanctioned bad behavior, which made abuse of office unattractive, and used the instruments of law to curb the menace. Fast forward to 2015, this will release closed to 5 trillion Naira (conservative estimates) in the shortest possible time, that can be utilized for the benefit of the citizens. Jonathan government cant do this and if Buhari, by mere of being there can, I am fine. You cannot pursue more than one agenda even at individual level and succeed. While he focuses on tackling insecurity and corruption, the Vice President and the team that he will assemble will work towards adding up the remaining issues of infrastructure, human development and capacity and Nigerias international prestige. This is the way to go. For me, there is no fence to sit on. SAI MAI GASKIYA
