They believe that the various methods of ridicule and scorn which they employed will demoralize you so much that you will hide for shame of your faith and soon return to ignorance and disbelieve. Or they try to lure and entice you with the beautiful things of this world, believing it will distract you from the worship of your Lord. Hmmm... if only they knew better... ...that not a single believer (blesses with spirit of truth) will ever forsook the truth which his Lord has endowed him/her with. (in wealth or poverty, surplus or adversity).
