They call me Anshu. I am 10 years old and I have never had a name - TopicsExpress

They call me Anshu. I am 10 years old and I have never had a name until now. I am the dog that nobody cared about. Life on the streets is tough. For years, I battled to get by. I found just enough food to eat every day but I eventually became too old to fight for survival. I was tired. I gave up eating and simply waited to die. By the time they found me, my emaciated body was so weak I could barely stand and I was destroyed by ticks. My left eye was popping out of my skull. They will never know what happened to me and I will never be able to tell them. You reach a point of despair when you simply have to give up, but I didn’t know then about Soi Dog supporters. I didn’t realise that everything was about to change for me. I was picked up and brought to the Soi Dog shelter and there, day after day, I learnt what it is to be loved. Today, I live in the OAP run. My bad eye has been removed and my suffering is a distant memory. I no longer have to scavenge for food and hiding from danger is a thing of the past. I have been given a second chance at life and it could never have happened without the people who donate regularly for stray dogs just like me. As you read this, another lost soul who has never had a name needs your help. Alone in their suffering, just a few dollars a week is all it takes to change this. It’s Christmas and I am safe for the first time in my life. Please donate to help those who are not.
