They have rigged a camera to show what she’s actually seeing in realtime. Saying it’s low res is like saying computers are bunk cause my C64 was monochrome. This is only the very first baby steps. As mobile possessors and GPUs evolve so will these kind of visualization tools. So far, seems like the folks who have had the opportunity to try it yesterday are pretty blown away. I imagine the actual experience is pretty sweet. Imagine the difference between being at a rock concert vs watching it on utube. I think the really defining characteristic is that when you put something somewhere it stays there. Until very recently the cpu power to do that wasn’t headset capable. They are basically leveraging smartphone technology to create a new application of a bunch of sensors and computing capability.
