They say Water is the secret of Life. In Voi we say,Water is the most scarce resource we wish to have. Apparently the Kaloleni Ward is just neglected when it comes to resource allocations in Voi. My friend the MCA for this ward should use water supply to Msambweni and Kasarani area as a tool for his assurance of getting the seat again in 2017. It is surprising that a water tank constructed over 2 years ago is still waterless yet thousands of gallons of water go to waste in other areas of Voi without Tavevo caring ,yet we who made a mistake of developing Kasarani and Msambweni go without piped water. We are left at the mercy of the Bodaboda water vendors and the owners of boreholes who sale the commodity to us without bothering about our financial status. While we use the borehole water, no one knows whether its safe for human/domestic animal use or it may even contain high concentrations of harmful heavy metals. Why do we have a major water pipeline going through Voi when we at Voi cant access the precious commodity? Why do we have Tavevo,Water conservation and pipeline corporation all headquartered in Voi yet they fail to serve Voi people? Why do we have a major GCI pipeline cutting across msambweni with no water and with no intentions of supplying the people around it? What business does the Municipal council have in collecting cess at the Murram site just in the midst of Msambweni and give no service to us? Does anyone out there know if we will ever have piped water in Msambweni and Kasarani areas in Voi? Mungu saidia sisi!
