They say it takes the whole village to raise a child. Mine is a rich village. I look back and for the last 37 (almost 38) years many people have poured so much of their very best to make this life what it is. I know of personal sacrifices and most not duly acknowledged by myself. I have been many people’s very difficult disciple and they never gave up travailing just for me to be someone. I wish I could mention everyone by name, but it is just impossible. I’m grateful to the many constituents of the village that brought me up and rendered some help along the way. Mum and Dad, I owe you big time. You started before I even saw the light of day. Yours too was a difficult honor of cleaning me up probably with a squeezed nose when nappies were my toilet. You saw me through those fragile early days and encouraged and cheered me on to sit, craw, and stand and eventually take my first step walking. I can’t tell your anguish from my teen years and you are still at it guiding me through life. Your financial, spiritual, emotional and social investment in this life is beyond enumerating. My brothers and sister, being your oldest brother has been a great privilege. You taught me leadership which school may not have ably taught me. I can only imagine the headaches I caused you in assuming I knew better and you had to follow me as senior bro! I know there times you just thought I was a bully! We still in this together, so hold on. Many others, who performed the parenting and counseling role, thank you. Friends thank you for all you did for me. Pastors, present and past, a big thank you for the light of the gospel! Teachers and lecturers thank you! Workmates, including bosses, thank you too. I have a wife that I love so much. She took the biggest risk of committing her life to me till death do us part. Thank you so much for everything. Joannah, Lusyomo and Adeodatus; my dear ones, it is such a joy to have you. Dad and mum in Kasama, Chambaila, sir Nzo, Mofya and Grace, thanks for sharing Angela with me! I enter my 39th year a very happy person. The biggest thank you of course goes to my creator, the one that has done all things well. Lord You are my all in all for all!!
