They were discriminated against and ultimately murdered, but they were drug traffickers after all. Modern/post-modern filmakers have this thing about moral ambiguity many times going too heavy on the ambiguity. Im sure many people with family members who were destroyed by drug addiction would applaud at this ending. Is it any better for hip bikers to profit from the drug trade than say Citibank. I dont see any fundamental difference. The decadence of the new left ultimately brought Reagan to power and helped destroy labor and the middle class..Eddie
