Things I miss about Reach the Beach as a Calumet team runner, after running last year and not running this year: *the camaraderie of spending time in a van with 6 other people (and 7 more, in the other team van) who have a shared understanding of Calumet and how much spending time there has defined who you all eventually became. *the kindness extended to all runners by fellow runners, teammates, and spectators. Truly the Calumet spirit in action... by almost all of the teams. *the excitement and anticipation of your upcoming run and the amazing support of your Calumet friends before, during, and after said run. *the knowledge that you have raised enough money to provide the same Calumet experience that you were lucky enough to have to many other kids through your Reach the Beach fundraising. Things I dont miss about Reach the Beach as a Calumet team runner, after running last year and not running this year: *running. Thank you, runners, for your awesome athleticism. You make us very proud and thankful for your willingness to run your hearts out for our beloved camp.
