Things Ive noticed in Korea (Part 2) 6. The way they use their gestures is a form of respect. Sample? Each time they give me change, they use both hands to give it back. In the dramas/movies I always thought they did it for cuteness! 7. They are really really vain! (in a good way). They have sooo many boutiques for skin cares and such! As much as we have sari-sari stores here! You cant go 3 minutes without seeing one. Or seeing Jun Ji Hyuns face for that matter. 8. GDRAGON is way more popular in Korea than I thought! Woah! Hes simply everywhere! At the stores, mall, coffee shops, even at Lotte World! My friend also told me hes got so many commercials airing these days! 9. They like to hangout. Thats why Seoul is like a city that never sleeps! Especially Hongdae (Where I stayed). As much as they have skin care boutiques, they have cafes as many as well! You just dont go out and have dinner/lunch, cause theres always something happening afterwards, its either you chill at a cafe for another hour or have a drink somewhere before going separate ways. And lastly, number 10. Koreans are genuine. When I say genuine, I mean genuinely kind, awesome, disciplined, thoughtful and very caring! I witnessed it firsthand and I must say Im really really at awe that such genuine people exist! In my 5 days of soaking in their culture, I have learned/met/ate/experienced/walked alot! It had been my dream (for 3 years now) to visit Korea. In the short while that it came true, I can only wrap it up with these words: It was all a blessing in disguise. Thank you so much to all my friends and new-found friends for this awesome adventure! Im already planning to go back so well be seeing each other again soon!~
