Things and Rules to remember. By Jason Lollis on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 3:18pm Welcome to Pickens County Auction Your Stuff: ■It is recommended that you start your bid at a comfortable minimum so that you receive a fair price. With that in mind, if you post something and nobody responds, (and this is just a possibility) you may be a little overpriced. ■Feel free to list anything you are in search of. (ISO) Maybe someone in here has what you are looking for at way cheaper than you can get it in a store. I dont have a problem with you private messaging someone that you have what they are looking for and discussing a price in private. If you post the item publicly in the group, however, it should be in auction format. ■ If your auction has NO end date and time, the winning bid goes to the 10th bidder. This is just a general rule so that everyone is on the same page. You may select a number outside of 10 but it will be 10 unless another bid number is chosen. ■ Please do not extend the bidding UNLESS there are NO bidders. This prevents the seller from jacking up the price indefinately. ■ Bids should be a minimum of .25 cents each. I realize that this wouldnt make since if you were auctioning a car or something so please specify your own increments if you want it to be different. ■ Please stick with the auction end date/time on the top of your listing or the number of bids you chose. This prevents running up bids by postponing the end of the auction. ■ Please be willing to meet in and around Pickens County and give the bidder 2 days to respond to make the meeting arrangement. After this you may sell the game to the runner up if you havnt heard from them. ■ After the auction end, you may relist your item if it hasnt sold. ■ Bids are final. Please do not try and re-negotiate the price when meeting for the transaction. If I get reports of people doing this it may result in an ejection from the group. ■NO SHOWS: If you are reported twice for being a no-show, it is only fair to the rest of the group that you be ejected. I know emergancies can come up so that is why I think everyone deserves to get a second chance. ■ Admins are not responsible for the condition of items being sold. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BIDDING ON AN ITEM. ■ At this point I have no rules about how many posts you post but that is subject to change once the group grows to a large number of people. If you have multiple items please use an album. Eventually I may be seeking out a second admin....if you think this is a good project for you, please let me (Jason Lollis) know. ■DO NOT BID ON YOUR OWN AUCTION: This is just wrong and none of us would want someone else doing this to us. If I find out this is going on, it is only fair to the rest of the group that you be ejected. ■ Please do not auction off anything illegal or used underwear or anything else that common sense says not to auction off. ■ Have fun and be respectful of others It is only fair to everyone else that those who fail to do so be removed from the group. ■This one is the most important: Tell your friends about this group so I have more stuff to bid on....jk but seriously spread the word
