Things are looking up! Bring on the #NewYear! As some of you - TopicsExpress

Things are looking up! Bring on the #NewYear! As some of you know, Ive spent the majority of my life struggling financially. Last year was especially rough when my student loans defaulted and I got hit with a 25% wage garnishment. We almost lost our apartment and everything we worked so hard to get, even though it wasnt much. We were surviving by eating from food shelves and having zero budget to ever do anything fun at all. I was even riding my bike 15 miles to work so I could save gas money. Things are looking up! Bring on the #NewYear!! Thanks to some new laws, I was able to apply for a student loan consolidation. It is still being processed but it shouldnt take long and we dont see any reason to not be approved. Part of this process involved getting a temporary stop on my garnishment. That combined with Anoka County paying my rent this month and todays paycheck is looking AMAZING! For the first time in 3 years or so, well actually get to keep our tax returns! Even though wage garnishments are 25% of your check, they are also 100% of your tax returns... We typically should get around $5-6k! This money is going to restore our vehicles to pristine shape, get us some much needed household items, and treat us all to something fun! Things are looking up! Bring on the #NewYear!!!
