Things are moving now! Whew! Three Molon crews and a lot of construction activity is a lot to keep track of. One crew will continue to work south from Dame Street and will be installing the storm drain infiltration system. This crew expects to be out of the Dame Street intersection by the end of the work day. Laying the pipe south to M-22 will move fairly quickly until they arrive at M-22 and Front Street. This area will again see a lot of activity with some gas main relocation work, the setting and installation of manholes and a swirl unit that will separate the grit from the storm water. The good news is that once these items are installed , hopefully by the end of the week, road reconstruction will start to occur. Another of the Molon crews will be working at Madison and M-22 to complete the restoration of the road where the connection was made yesterday. The intersection area that is in the M-22 road right of way is intended to be repaved before the end of the day. Once this crew completes their portion of the restoration work they will continue working east to the intersection at Madison and Front installing the storm water system. This crew hopes to have this portion of the Madison Street storm water system complete by the end of the working day. Once the Madison Street installation is complete, this crew will begin installing the storm water system north to Jefferson. This work could start late today or tomorrow. The third crew has been working to install the new storm water main line connection at M-22 and Grove. The actual connection was completed yesterday and restoration will be completed today. Molon expects to have the paving installed on M-22 before the end of the work day. I am not sure if this crew will stay on site after today. Tomorrow is the progress update meeting. As part of this project meeting, the village will be discussing the long range schedule in an attempt to give everybody as much advance notice as possible. We are not too far away from working on the section of front street between Grove and Jefferson and crossing the street to the alley west of M-22. Your patience and continued cooperation is appreciated!
