Things are working out for the best. The next you think our world is on a downward slope, consider this… A few generations, there was no sanitation, no flush toilet, no way to keep meat from spoiling, no anaesthetics, and little hope that the average person would live past 40 years old. A few generations ago, there was no such thing as democracy or freedom of speech. You simply obeyed the overlord or get whipped, beaten, perhaps killed. A few generations ago, the average person didn’t travel much and might never have heard of any other country except those with whom his country was occasionally at war. Yes, though some of the details might suck, generally things head in the right direction.
