Things continue to come together for the world rankings - TopicsExpress

Things continue to come together for the world rankings (mastersathletics.co). Athletes from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Barbados, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Georgia, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Japan, Liberia, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, Saint Kitts And Nevis, Switzerland, Sweden, Thailand, Trinidad And Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay and USA have submitted their results in addition to those I’ve imported. I’ve finished submission forms and spreadsheets where you can help these rankings really grow (I need to write instructions how to use – please let me know how I can make these tools easier and more intuitive). Between athlete submissions for 2013 and 2014 (about 12,000) and results I’ve imported, there are over 129,000 results in the rankings. There are still so many more to get so I could really use your help. A few people have helped greatly already but many more are needed to make your country’s and regional rankings lists more meaningful. Please help by submitting your own results using the on-line form and use one of the tools to submit complete meet results or results for multiple athletes. There are many corrections I need to make. Several issues were caused by some of my earlier imports. Thank you to all of you who have pointed these out and thank you all for being patient for me to make these corrections. I have worked on refining the import programs “live” instead so I could get more meaningful lists for you. The lists are certainly have many more US results than any other country which is to be expected since US athletes are very familiar with the system and that awareness helps me identify meet results to import plus many athletes’ age groups are known (this is a huge challenge since there are different age group criteria used). This will start to change significantly over the next week as I can now start importing more results per day since I will spend less time programming the system. I will be working on importing meet results from South Africa, Costa Rica, Australia, Spain, Hungary, France, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Italy, Ukraine, New Zealand (and USA). Some of these will probably be too difficult for me to convert with the language differences so your help with any results is much appreciated. You can keep up with what is being imported by looking at the Facebook page (https://facebook/USATFMastersRankings) where I post most of the import activities. Please continue to tell other athletes about this system, provide me improvement suggestions and donations. I have not had time to solicit outside funding sources so your contributions have been vital to help me develop and maintain this system for you. Each page of the site has PayPal links to donate and there is a page with information for those who prefer to send a check.
