Things have been quite swampy at the toad studio lately and since Ive been focused elsewhere, I havent been posting too much. So heres a Super-Chunk sized peek at some of whats been happening on the easel and digitally . . . Photo 1: I was immensely pleased to be commissioned by local Tri-County and London coaches to create a painting, honouring the retiring Mr. Dave Mills, who has worked tirelessly for years convening area cross-country events. Springwater Races was presented to Mr. Mills at the recent conference XC championships. Congratulations Dave! Photo 2: This design which incorporates a number of celtic elements is a custom tattoo design for a client. Each symbol carries a personal significance and story. Photo 3: A personal commission, Burgoyne Fields is acrylic on gallery profile 14x14 canvas. My client liked a smaller version that I did some time ago and we agreed it would be fun and in keeping with its joyful mood to make it square in this rendition which is an unusual proportion for landscapes. And coming up? Some commissions queued up, which Im way excited to get busy on; one a sweetly romantic surprise Christmas gift, a landscape (of an Iceland waterfall! ), and a couple of narrative portraits. PLUS This week, Im lucky to be the featured guest for Episode 3 of Jane Talbots Get Creative! Interview Series. Would love it if you tune in to listen! Click through to Get Creative and sign up. Its Free. :) webinarjam.net/webinar/go/11369/b79726899c
