Things only nurses understand: 1. Sweating through your scrubs in an isolation gown in a CDiff pt room. 2. Immediately closing the curtains and pretending to bathe when you catch wind of a Joint Commission surveyor. 3. The first place you go to in the chart on any MVC is the tox screen. 4. The feeling of dread when your high-maintenance family pulls out a notepad and starts scribbling furiously, asking you to spell your last name. 5. The natural gravitation towards the crash cart and inherent excitement when it gets pulled out for use. 6. You probably know the steps leading up to intubation better than the first year resident. Yes, you absolutely do. 7. The feeling of complete joy when your pt gets taken off TB airborne precautions. 8. You explained in detail how the doctor opened a patients abdomen at the bedside, all while eating dinner. 9. You know where the AED is located at in the mall and you secretly want the opportunity to use it. 10. Theres no better feeling than the perfect IV stick. Just for fun!
