Think Im gonna go with a fully loaded Tesla Model S60 versus a partially loaded S85 and heres my logic: - I never drive more than 1/4 tank (80 miles) daily - longest trip I take at any given time is less than 100 miles round trip - If I were to visit Vegas or San Fran, I have a gas Mercedes with excellent ride quality. Plus gas fill up takes minutes, vs. 1 hour on EV at its fastest - there are no super charger stations in San Diego, only EV stations, which is standard on all models - My commute is bumper to bumper. Rarely would I get to really punch it on a regular basis to warrant the extra 50hp - The performance difference isnt worth the 10k additional charger. Only a .4 sec difference in 0-60, 5mph in top end, and only 58 miles in extended range. Given that the base is 208, Id say Im good on range. - I could use 10k on the other features I truly use everyday vs. performance bragging rights that I may rarely use.
