Think back on the first Holy Saturday - low and quiet with Jesus in the tomb. Tension, confusion, anxiety, fear, and a great sense of despair filled the air. There was no hope of a better tomorrow for the disciples. It happens the same way to us. With sickness, unemployment, bad relationships, attacks, oppressiveness, and series of human predicaments, we feel completely helpless. Our hope of a peaceful and happy life appears dashed with a thick cloud of hopelessness hanging over our heads, a lump of sadness in our hearts. The good news today is that it is not the end. God is almighty and his power is infinite. Whatever your condition, look ahead to a pleasant surprise. From the tomb Jesus rose again. From our predicaments we too shall rise. The scriptures says, “There are tears at night, but joy shall come with dawn” – Ps. 30:6.
