Think of the dog as us, and the owners as the educational system, the fast food industry, the sick-care system, the credit card and banking industries. The dog has long surrendered its natural urges, inclinations and needs for the good job pat on the head. This month we send our children into schools that reward them for becoming bloated caricatures of themselves. We start off running for the happy meal. Im sure the dash hound did too - at first. We were so happy to get that loan. We only needed a little attention. Good boy. The dog has been alienated from his own self-originating urges and desires. So have I when I eat too much, and eat what Ive been lead to eat, when I go into debt. Im like the dog when I trust those who profit from my misery to educate or heal me. ~ Wekesa O. Madzimoyo
