Think of your vision of the future. Now, imagine it irresistibly brighter ;-) and you have imagined the powerful story of a new future. Findhorns New Story Community, being streamed live for the next few days is about exactly that. The story of Gaia is changing. We are changing with and changed by it. We are of Earth. Many of us sometimes lapse into the unconsciousness of thinking were the only animals with reflective consciousness. But thats an illusion. Humankind is a curious species. We often let ourselves get stuck in story and miss whats really happening. Weve mostly forgotten how to communicate without stories because theyre so powerful for us. Stories well told have the power to change the world, and do so every day at the cinema, in books, in the news, and between friends. Not everyone should be Dan Rather, Piers Morgan or Anderson Cooper. The way to most quickly change the world is to do a James Cameron, Steven Spielberg or Nora Ephron. Tell stories that inspire you and others to change. Tell stories which light up your eyes and give you gooseflesh all over. Tell stories which take your breath away with awe, or stories that make you speechless over beauty. Tell stories that enthrall and inspire. And almost paradoxically, the way to live most joyfully, in the moment, is to stop telling stories about what we *think* were seeing and simply see whats happening. By example, think of your feelings as youre embraced by your lover: bliss washes over you and youre often content to say nothing. Yet you see and feel *everything*. Your stories stop because youre content with What Is. In this way time can dissolve, and your past, present and future become one.
