Think on this. All the time we are seeing really good photos being posted on facebook, etc. which can instantly be viewed worldwide. I wonder how many of these images are transfered on to photo paper to make prints for future generations to benefit also (as our forefathers passed down to us). I very much doubt if anyone bothers to do this. Now this is where the technically minded will say they have saved these images to disc or memory stick. We all know that this will be of no use as in the future the equipment to insert these to view their content will be long gone and superseded by the latest technology. We have evidence of this with 50mm film (projectors long gone), Betamax and VHS tapes ( video recorders and players gradually disappearing into obscurity). This so called fantastic equipment will deprive our children and grandchildren of photographic images of today, unless it is transfered to form old fashioned photographs.
