Think this will be a must watch film! Damon Gameau, who proves that just 1 person with a burning passion to learn the truth and share the message can change the world we will live in! Chef Pete Evans said - Nic and I have seen the film and it made us cry and also made us extremely hopeful for the coming generations as it contains such a powerful message that is undeniable. This is the ultimate sugar experiment... please dont try this at home! (even though a lot of families are doing it, unaware of the dangers because they believe it is healthy, which is why we have such alarming health problems in our country.) For 60 days, I would eat 40 teaspoons of sugar a day (sadly what many Australians are eating) but there would be a catch: I would only eat the hidden sugars found in foods that most people would perceive to be healthy. These included low fat yoghurt, muesli bars, cereals and juices. I could have NO soft drink, chocolate, ice cream or confectionary during the experiment and I had to maintain the same level of exercise that I was already doing. After 12 days, I had put on 3 kilograms and when my blood tests revealed that I had developed fatty liver disease after just 18 days, I knew we had a story to tell. Its quite disconcerting to ring your film’s producer from the blood clinic and tell him you have fatty liver disease only to hear an excited yelp from the other end of the line. I then took off on an adventure across Australia, the USA and the UK examining the impact of sugar on the population and interviewing experts, all while continuing to consume 40 teaspoons of sugar a day. The effect on my mind and body is there for all to see in the film. https://facebook/video.php?v=1519506831624192&set=vb.1462514033990139&type=2&theater .
