Think tonight was the equivalent of a night of passion with Nicole Sherzinger. Entertaining a couple of mates from Glasgow in Mulligans Bar just off Deansgate. We were barely two miles from the Swamp yet the bar was full of Plastic Reds screaming at the telly - there were hundreds of empty seats to be had. Why werent they there at the ground? Nicking an equaliser well into extra time (true to form!) Then Stan Welbeck, Phil Stan Laurel Jones and Adnan Januzaj, (the best thing to happen to football since Stanley Matthews, Pele, George Best and Diego Maradona combined) fluffed their big moment. The icing on the cake was to come home on the bus. Surrounded by Rags bemoaning the absence of RVP and the Granny Shagger, I proffered (in an a covert operation the SAS would have been proud of!) Never mind, lads, Its saves us a drubbing from City at Wembley! Yeah, youre right there, mate was the best a forlorn Rag passenger could offer. Gotta love Payback time! 1993-2008. Did it ever exist?
