Thinking about getting the Performing Arist GPCPA1 Plus or the new - TopicsExpress

Thinking about getting the Performing Arist GPCPA1 Plus or the new for 14 GPC-Aura GT. Strange that the reg line GPCPA1 doesnt use real wood (RIchlite) for the fingerboard or bridge and its so much more expensive than the newer model using real African Blackwood. Does the added cost have more to do with the headstock extras? Or is Richlite harder to manufacter? If anyone can help, I would most appreciate it. Thank you in advance. :)
