Thinking going to a fancy art school in order to get a photography degree? Heres an alternative idea - take that $30,000/yr of your parents cash, buy a camera, a book of Henri Cartier Bresson photos to study, move to a foreign country (of your choosing), and spend the school year living there while shooting on the weekdays (weekends too if you get particularly ambitious). After a year, pick another country in a different hemisphere and repeat. Bonus points for spending as little of the yearly $30k as possible. After four years of doing the above, I guarantee you youll be in an infinitely better place than if you had gotten yourself an official piece of paper.
