Third new principal since December here at Earle school. Earle is a school created by moving the kids from the former Earle into Goodlow and changing its name. Kids cross Damen to get there. Wendy Katten noted this before the closings: I toured that school when it was Goodlow. It didnt have empty rooms, there was a lot of parent involvement (parents helping out at recess outside and in the classrooms) and you could hear a pin drop in the hallways. I met Jadine Chou there and asked her why in the world CPS was closing this school and she truly had no answers. There has been utter chaos there, I hear, since the closing. Friends, please think of ways to hold these people accountable--at the voting booth and before then. You know CPS gave itself an A on the school closings. Barbara Byrd-Bennett said, we need to take a collective bow.
