Thirteen years ago today I married the man of my dreams and the love of my life! Things have not always been hunky dunky, but as long as we have each other we can get through it. I can say today that he is my hero and I will always stand beside my man, behind my man, and hold his arms up as long as Im alive to give him the strength he needs to lead our family. When we got married, we chose the song We are Standing on Holy Ground for the opening ceremonial song. Our goal was to tell everyone publicly that this union being formed today is one that will do their best to keep Christ first! We may have failed at times, but that day we determined that ours would be a Christian home and our children would know God right from the start! We decided that wed never go to bed angry (weve stayed up all night before because of that rule lol Im kinda stubborn), We decided that if we argued - wed kiss and make up! We decided that we were and always would be best friends first. We decided to encourage each other in the Lord. We decided that we were both equal in this marriage as far as our thoughts and opinions are concerned, but that my husband would be the head of our home just as Christ is the head of the church. We decided we would be in church at every opportunity possible. We decided that church came first - no matter what - even over little league or chorus or bowling....We made many decisions that day - but the two most important : As for me and my house we will serve the Lord and divorce is a dirty word in our house and never an option! I love and respect this man to the moon and back and will always stand by him and follow him wherever GOD leads him! Happy Anniversary sweetheart - I love you!
