Thirty years and six days ago, on a bright and sunny day, on an island in the middle of San Francisco Bay, two star crossed lovers eyes caught the glare and gaze of one another. Six days following that fateful moment the two eloped to Reno, Nevada, and returned back to that island Navy base in San Francisco Bay the very sane evening to report for duty. Thirty years, five children, and two grandchildren later, the intensity of that gaze, the passion of that glare is experienced every morning and every night. The energy, in the form of love, is the fuel that beats their very hearts. Amazingly, during these three full decades, the two star crossed lovers have worked side by side for a score and five; a true testament to their love and adoration for one another. I know this as fact as I am one of those star crossed lovers and it is this very day that we celebrate those first three decades together.
