It doesnt make them inconsiderate. It doesnt make them a jerk. Need more room? Fly business or first class or upgrade to the extended leg room option on airlines that have it. Dont buy some $22 device that lets you lock the seat in front of you. Thats douchebaggery and entitlement in a huge way. Its also not your right to do so. No, I dont like it when people recline in front of me. No, I dont usually recline my own seat. But once in a while, I need to nap, and I do, or Im sitting next to another large guy and so need to drop back a little to keep our shoulders from rubbing, so I drop the seat back (not slam it back). So do other passengers. Why? Because thats how the seats work.
