This Anzac Day the Australian War Memorial encourages all Australians to remember the service and sacrifice of the courageous men and women who have served our country in all wars. This year we pay special tribute to those who have served in the recently concluded Afghanistan conflict. In remembering those who have served and the 40 men who lost their lives in Afghanistan we are running a series of YouTube videos detailing their service and sacrifice. The stories are told by those who served and their loved ones. Today’s story is told by Signaller Gary Wilson and his wife Renee Wilson, their lives changed forever on 21 June 2010. Wilson, a signaller with the 2nd Commando Regiment survived the crash of a Black Hawk helicopter which claimed the lives of four comrades.
