This April, Archbishop Chapelle High School students participated in the 32nd Foreign Language Festival at Southeastern University in Hammond. Four hundred students from 12 schools competed in different categories in French and Spanish. The categories were poetry, prose, play, music, and extemporaneous speaking. Chapelle Winners: Mary Poirier 3rd place Spanish I - prose, Iris Medal Spanish III - poetry native speaker, Taylor Sparacello 3rd place French III - extemporanceous speaking, Genesis Mata 3rd place Spanish - music, Sophia Kass 1st place French II - poetry, and Grace Fourmaux 1st place French I - poetry.
