This #BecomingFilipino video will be a lot different then most… I went to Anilao a little town on the southern coast of Batangas Province. This is an area known for diving, swimming, water sports and lots of resorts. Well after sitting on the side of the road having a beer I found myself talking to a local guy. Next thing you know I was spending time with his family, and living the simple life for a few days. I didnt take a lot of footage, as I was really focused on just interacting and learning from this amazing family… But this is my Anilao experience, pieced together with a bit of raw footage… It really makes you appreciate the people that live around these resort communities, hanging out with them. It makes me recognize the importance of always respecting and remembering that there are all these amazing beautiful local people who have history and families in the areas even well before the resorts existed.
