This Christmas isnt particularly cheerful for us. I have no gifts - TopicsExpress

This Christmas isnt particularly cheerful for us. I have no gifts purchased for any of my family, I am tired and very sore, I cannot hold my baby, and I cannot shower. Never in our lives, however, have we experienced such gratitude for the true meaning of this season. This article beautifully explains how God is so moved by our being entangled in suffering — that He moved Himself into our world and entangled Himself in the suffering with us. God with us. So I praise God for the gift of suffering, I praise Him for my cancer, I praise Him always, under all circumstances because He chose to bring His only son to suffer and die for the ungodly, so we might be reconciled with Him. I wholeheartedly praise the Babe born in Bethlehem! What if Christmas gave us the Gift we need to walk through suffering, live for justice, lay down prejudice? What if Christmas demonstrated how to overcome suffering and evil with good, demonstrated how God overcame the world’s suffering and evil forces by willingly laying aside His power and becoming a helpless babe, demonstrated how the strong turn the other cheek, go the extra mile, seek peace – quietly lay themselves down so that there might be peace on earth and good will toward men. aholyexperience/2014/12/how-even-pain-division-cant-steal-our-merry-christmas-with-a-spoken-word-poem-an-advent-lament-a-brave-merry-christmas/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=http%3A%2F%2Faholyexperience%2F2014%2F12%2Fhow-even-pain-division-cant-steal-our-merry-christmas-with-a-spoken-word-poem-an-advent-lament-a-brave-merry-christmas%2F&utm_content&utm_campaign=A+Holy+Experience+Blog+Posts
