This Day In History-September 19, 1973-Gram Parsons is pronounced dead of an apparent drug overdose after being found in the Joshua Tree National Park. Parsons is ranked by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the Top 100 Greatest Artist of All Time. His work with the Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Emmylou Harris, as well as his solo work, was some of the most influential work of any artist from the period.
