This Day in Led Zeppelin History - On this day in 2009, US singer Myles Kennedy, who recently auditioned to be Robert Plants replacement in Led Zeppelin, said he was grateful for the chance to impress - despite not getting the gig in the end. Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham had auditioned singers for a potential tour after Plant said he wouldnt be involved with the permanent reunion. Kennedy, who sings with Alter Bridge, said I did have a great opportunity and it was something that Im very grateful for. The audition was surreal. It was great. Ill tell that story some day.
