This Fall season is one of the greater signs that is mentioned over and over again in the Quran. People are curious to know how we will be brought back to life after we are dead and our body has decomposed, so the Almighty gives us the example how during the fall, the leaves start to wither and fall off the trees until they are left completely bare, almost like a skeleton. The winter comes and freezes the trees and plants and puts them in a state of death. Then the spring comes, and the Almighty sends down rain to bring those same dead trees and plants back to life again. Similarly, it will be just as easy for the Almighty to bring us back to life again on the Day of Judgement. One of the verses of the Quran says, And among His signs is the earth that you see barren; but when We send down rain upon it, it stirs to life and brings forth growth. Surely He Who gives it life, will raise the dead to life. Surely He has power over all things. (Quran 41:39) Dear brothers and sisters, we are in this world for a greater purpose than just our daily chores (work/school, entertain ourselves, eat, sleep). We are all being drive towards our Lord whether we want to or not. The wise are those who prepare for this meeting. Each day is an opportunity to invest in our good deeds and to fulfill the commands of our Lord. Right and wrong has been made very clear, good and bad have been made very clear. The signs around us are very clear. If we fulfill the commands, we will prosper, and if we refuse to follow those commands we will suffer greatly in this life and the next. We cannot live however we want. We cannot eat, drink, and try to please ourselves however we want. We cannot waste money however we want. We cannot waste our time watching tv, playing games and entertaining ourselves however we want. This time is precious and valuable. You are not in this world only to try to please yourself. There is a reason why we are in this world temporarily and there is a reason why there is death. There is a reason why this world is not Heaven, and that it is saved as a reward for those who strive for it. This world is all a testing place and we have a really great exam to pass. Soon our soul will be pulled from our body and the veil from the unseen will start to be removed, and we will see beings (Angels) we had never seen before. And at that point, all that will matter is if you had passed the exam and fulfilled the duties of your Lord and followed the commands. And you will go through an interrogation process and either be punished and tortured, or you will receive the great news of Heaven and a most extraordinary world will start to open. This is the reality of the life we are living in so you can prepare for this time or you can spend your time however you want. No one is here to force you, our duty is only to remind and explain things in the most clear and logical way we can. Reality is that we will all die and we will all return back to our Lord.
