This. I think the ice bucket challenge was a phenomenal way to raise awareness for the ALS community. Especially with our narrow minded generation this was a great fun way to get everyones attention. Peoples negativity did aggravate me - saying its wasting so much water and what about Africa... Honestly have yall ever even donated towards those charities to bring clean water and irrigation systems to many of those developing countries? And be honest about it. You cant compare a developed countries problems to developing one. ( and this is coming from me a fellow African) Instead of bashing the one try split that donation and help both causes. My grandfather passed away from Parkinsons which is also a neuromuscular disease where there are no cures for because there is not enough funds for further research. I did donate and took on the challenge! It amazes me how viral this went and seeing everyone so connected! Lets not forget that there is so much going on in the world...every little thing and thought counts!
