This Mama to our children has a birthday today. They help with the math and remind me that I will be 35 years old (again) this year. Around these parts I am known less for my hidden talents and more for my ability to be Mama. Sure I know where the extra baseball belts are... that 1 orange sock, the National Honor Society community service form received last spring! I know that our youngest will want his favorite shirt for KTM riding and he relaxes when I say, “it’s already in the wash:). I know that our strong, athletic girl has secret anxieties and fears, which I too, know just how to set her at ease- Mama stuff. The details of love that only Mama really knows. This mind of mine holds the tiny bits of everyday life that weave the very fabric of their beings. In a world so large and often daunting they have me, and I have THEM! I will continue to give with all my might and not be afraid to lean back; to collapse and fail and weep and let in sadness. It is through this act of bravery; they to show themselves in return. We are always learning what it means to be FAMILY here on Currier Hill and in the very middle of all of that is where Ill be. Ill be walking gracefully through the effort and ease of BEING HUMAN:) the only gift I shall need, quite a gift INDEED!
