This Memorial Day, I ask all my friends, Facebook and otherwise, to say a little prayer for six guys I served with in the 82nd Airborne that answered the call of duty and never came home: Captain Michael Ritz and SSG Gary Epps - killed in action, Republic of Grenada, October, 1983. Chief Warrant Officer Charles Hurt, SSG Don Chavis, and Pvt Ricardo Tornero - killed in a helicopter crash while serving with the Multinational Force & Observers, Sinai Peninsula, Arab Republic of Egypt, June 16, 1984. Private Zev Barzak - accidently shot to death during a night live fire and maneuver exercise, Fort Bragg, NC, July 25, 1984. Sleep well brothers -- youll live in our hearts forever.
