This Memorial Day we want to thank the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country. The every day sacrifices that you make to protect us do not go unnoticed, and we appreciate you so much! Today we want to tell the story of Shadow, whose original owner had to make a sacrifice that may not be the first that comes to mind when you think of a soldier deploying. A few months ago, a handsome German Shepherd named Shadow was surrendered to us by his owner who was being deployed overseas. Shadow was a young guy who needed an owner who could really give him what dogs of his breed need: structure, lots of exercise, and mental stimulation / a job to do at all times! At first Shadow was adopted and returned - this breed needs a very specific home, and unfortunately he just wasnt finding his perfect match. That was until he started on this journey...
